Kurt Gannon is currently a senior web designer for Jackrabbit Design - a strategic design firm (call it a boutique?) - located in Milton MA. Jackrabbit’s unique atmosphere and team chemistry has been growing and turning out unique marketing and design solutions since 1999. Originally hailing from Boston (Allston) – Jackrabbit has just built a new office that you need to stop by and see for yourself. (yes - that’s an open-invitation.)
Kurt’s dynamic arsenal of creative design and strategic thinking - easily qualifying him as a jack(rabbit)-of-all-trades. Those tools include: graphic design, UI design, front-end web development, motion graphics, creative thinking, general problem solving, work-flow analysis, client liaison, strategy and search engine optimization (SEO).
If you think you would like to work with Kurt there are two varying approaches with the same great result. The first is to contact him in a freelance capacity, and the second is to work with him through Jackrabbit. Option A) is cheaper, but a bit slower (freelancing consists of nights and weekends) and Option B) is certainly quicker, fully backed by all the abilities a strategic design firm can offer (but a bit more expensive.)
Raised in Connecticut’s “quiet corner”, Kurt has always been active in sports and the outdoors. Fueled by an odd combination of interests in the arts, computers and sports - Kurt attended Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, CT. Preceding delivering the invocation at graduation in '02, Kurt earned various athletic, artistic and academic achievements at ECSU - including being named a Verizon Academic All-American in Track & Field. His professional career began with an introduction to the industry at a small shop in New London, CT. But after a fast paced 12-months it was time for the next big adventure - Boston.
Literally combing through the Boston phonebook and spreading around his resume – it wasn't until December of 2003 (and the letter J) that he landed an interview. Sitting at a desk and firing up a Mac at Jackrabbit before the interview was even over - true story– Kurt has been manning a workstation at Jackrabbit since. In the last 5 years Kurt has worked with a variety of blue-chip clients: Partners Healthcare; the Sox; Jordan’s Furniture and DIAGEO USA to name a few.
